Context:
Under the overall supervision of the Head Information Management, direct supervision of the Software Development Manager and in close coordination with the Disaster Recovery Manager/Head of ICT Panama Unit,
the candidate will have responsibility in designing, coding SharePoint components, implement proactive support capability of SharePoint farm, and custom application development. The candidate will function as SharePoint
developer in the SharePoint team.
Core Functions / Responsibilities:
· Use SharePoint Designer to create, modify and implement consistent look and feel for new and existing web pages.
· Developed Master Pages and Page Layouts
· Manage all release specific documentation (Deployment document, System Test Plan, Test Design Specifications etc.).
· Integrate and customize SharePoint applications with existing custom developed applications.
· Creates data-driven web parts using SharePoint and .NET technologies.
· Maintains and follows established Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies on all projects.
· Develops a strong understanding of business requirements; working with business users/business analysts to define technical and process requirements.
· Help with end user training and interact with internal customers to provide guidance with SharePoint related tasks.
· Documents both technical and business requirements.
· Responsible for providing support to end users in maintaining content on their various web pages.
· Ensures sites are developed to meet usability standards of the industry.
· Mentor junior staff members regarding SharePoint development and configuration.
· Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Required Qualifications and Experience
Education
· Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field from an accredited academic institution. with at least three years of relevant work experience.
Experience
· Minimum three years of relevant professional experience.
· Knowledge of SharePoint 2010/2013.
· Experience in Windows 2012 Administration.
· One to two years of experience with SharePoint Site design and deployment.
· Proficiency in Web technologies such as JavaScript, JQuery, css, HTML.
· With professional development experience using .NET technologies with VB.net, C# and/or ASP.NET.
· Experience with UI development (i.e. WebForms, JavaScript, HTML, XML) and business logic development.
· Ability to work independently without minimum supervision.
· Excellent problem solving, design, coding and debugging skills.
· Critical thinking, problem solving, design, and most critically, attention to performance, scalability, reliability, availability at the system and component level.
· Experience with design documentation, creation of mockups, requirements gathering and client interaction.
· Excellent written and oral communication skills with business users and IT developers
Languages
Fluency in Spanish and English.
