The role
The role holder will develop high quality, rights-based and gender-sensitive proposals for Save the Children, based on solid evidence and/or common approaches established by the organization. The role holder will assist in writing specific proposal sections and coordinate with technical and other staff to bring together necessary information and resources.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Technical competencies:

University degree (master or PhD) in social sciences or related field.

Skilled at working and coordinating with a multidisciplinary team
-
5 years of experience of successful proposal writing and development, especially with donors related to Save the Childrens thematic areas.

Extensive knowledge in successful proposal development.

Excellent written skills in English and Spanish (French is desirable)

Excellent program design skills, including capacity to prepare logical, coherent and consistent documents including logical frameworks.

Attentive to detail while able to see big picture strategy.

Excellent writing skills with ample proven experience writing reports, proposals and other documentation relevant to the work of Save the Children.

Superior analytical and conceptual skills able to distill conceptual models, tendencies, trends and patterns from concrete program/project activities (desired)

Save the Children in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) works to improve the lives of the most deprived children in the region across a variety of thematic areas (Health, Education, Child Protection, Child Rights Governance, Child Poverty and Advocacy), with a special focus on adolescents and migrant and displaced children. We have a regional base in Panama, offices in 11 countries and work with partners in an additional 7 countries. We have an annual budget of approximately $60 million in the region.
