Mexico: Project Coordinator, Defending the Defenders Initiative

Job Purpose:

Coordinate and deliver the operational planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluation and reporting of the project 'Defending the Defenders' which aims to empower young defenders of land, territory, and environmental rights defenders to protect their rights, integrity and personal safety by fostering their risk awareness, mitigation and preparedness in Brazil, Guatemala and Honduras.

About You:

With demonstrable experience in a similar role, you'll be well-versed in project management of human rights grants. You'll have experience working with human rights defenders and young people. You'll need to be an excellent communicator with sound judgment and experience in coordinating multi country projects. Fluency in English and Spanish is essential and knowledge of Portuguese ideal. You'll show expertise and understanding in and of human rights and be able to align strategic thinking with operational delivery.
