ICAP is seeking a Project Coordinator on a temporary consultancy basis with demonstrated skill, expertise, and experience in HIV project implementation. Under the responsibility of the Project Lead based in ICAP in New York, and working in close collaboration with the regional CDC office, the Project Coordinator will engage with key stakeholders in Guatemala and oversee the planning, implementation, and monitoring of the GTA project. S/he will plan and coordinate all activities with the regional CDC office, Ministry of Health and other relevant partners and implement all project-related activities.
In addition, the Project Coordinator will be responsible for high-quality reporting and monitoring of all components of the project including adherence to reporting requirements to ICAP and the funder.
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES

Engage national stakeholders

Assure communication and collaboration between project and local stakeholders, local CDC office and ICAP

Provide overall management support for the implementation of the project

Provide on-site mentoring

Coordinate timely implementation of all major activities of the project according to the objectives and timeline identified in the workplan

Develop funder-required and internal reports on program progress, achievements and key challenges

Perform other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned
EDUCATION
-
Medical degree an advantage

Master’s in public health degree preferred
EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

7+ years’ experience working on public health projects either at the headquarters of an international or related-organizations, or in resource limited settings in the field of health service delivery systems with focus on HIV preferred

Experience designing and implementing interventions for KPs and excellent understanding of issues related to working with key populations in resource-limited settings

Excellent interpersonal, organizational, writing and verbal communication skills

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with donors, and other stakeholders

Demonstrated and successful experience working independently and as part of a team with strong problem-solving skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.)

English and Spanish language skills required
EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge of USG rules and regulations preferred

Experience with PrEP an advantage

Previous work experience in Guatemala required
