Checchi and Company Consulting, Inc. seeks a Prosecution Specialist for the USAID-funded Justice Sector Strengthening Activity in El Salvador. This activity supports initiatives to improve inter-institutional coordination of justice sector actors, reduce impunity, enhance court administration practices, and promote citizen participation and awareness of legal reforms to fight corruption.
The Prosecution Specialist will be based in San Salvador and will assist with the implementation and management of key project activities. He/she will lead technical assistance efforts with the Attorney General’s Office and the National Civilian Police regarding the investigation and prosecution of such crimes as homicide and sexual violence.
Candidates for this position must be attorneys with a minimum of seven years of experience in criminal reform or criminal justice (investigation and prosecution). Candidates must be fluent in Spanish. Preferred candidates will have prior experience in Latin America.
