ActionAid Hellas, as a certified sending organization within the EU Aid Volunteers framework, is searching for two senior volunteers in Finances and Accounting in order to deploy them to Alianza Ecuador. In the terms of EU Aid Volunteers Initiative, these two senior volunteers in Finances and Accounting will be deployed from ActionAid Hellas to Alianza Ecuador from 15/09/2017 to 14/03/2018. Technical tasks
Work in coordination with the Manager and Accountant of the EMMAIPC-EP aimed at strengthening the financial processes of the company, providing support in the following activities:

Planning, organization, control of all financial activities.

Supervise the execution of the budget, in accordance with the relevant legal provisions; the control through verification, register of worksheets and invoices of discharges that the Institution realizes; the liquidation and closing of the EMMAIPC-EP’s budget.

Programming and control of income, custody of the Institution's funds and making the corresponding payments.

Determine the collection, custody and use of financial resources through the administration and control of revenues and disbursements, through the development and execution of cash flows and financial systems.

Control and evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness which the budgetary processes are fulfilled with, establishing the requirements that the system needs to develop properly.

Carry out statistics on values and types of income and expenses, and evaluate their activities.

Strengthening of the financial sustainability plan, through a strategy of capitalization from the partners, as well as the application of tariff sheets.

Strengthening the strategy for the application of tariff sheets.
Coordination Tasks

Participate in team coordination meetings.

The volunteer will work in close collaboration with the technical staff of Alianza Ecuador, the different partners, and the EUAV project team.
Communication and Awareness on EU Aid Volunteers Initiative
- Draft and publish articles describing volunteer's experience in the field.
- Gather audio-visual materials to be used in a public awareness activity conducted by the volunteers' community in Europe.
- Organise and execute a public awareness activity once back in Europe, in coordination with the partner NGOs of the project.
Required Competences

Studies. University degree in in Accounting and Audit, Economics, Commercial Engineering or related careers.

Experience. At least 5 year experience in Cost accounting, Laws and financial rules, among others.

Languages. Spanish C1
English B2 Skills -
Professionals with capacity for analysis and logical reasoning, able to work as a team and evaluate the scope and financial-accounting functions in the administrative areas to disseminate them through others.

With a high scientific and technical capacity that allows the candidate to effectively perform in the different areas inherent to the financial field, thus giving a real contribution to his/her relevant professional work.

Willing to coexist and work with others in the development of projects and multiple professional tasks, in which continuous feedback is given.

Ethically responsible, open to constructive criticism, loyal to the truth, broad criteria, free of prejudices and tireless researchers in their professional area.
