Purpose of the Position

Under the close supervision of the Finance Assistant, Data Base Assistant (Billing) will be responsible to perform support tasks related to information technology systems applicable to fundraising activities in Brazil, with a strong focus on bank processing and billing.

Summary of key functions/accountabilities

1. Payments from donors processed correctly and according to the processes– Prepare all files and accompany all information streams to ensure accurate payment processes with all partners- Monitor and improve the different information streams- Maintain relations with all partners in order to streamline the payment processes- Monitor and update teams procedures- Classify and File processed donation cards and/or files

2. Increased success rates in all payment processes

– Exchange EFT files with the different banks and reconcile the database accordingly- Monitor and evaluate the bank processes and improve them where necessary- Monitor and evaluate the bank processing success rates- Report the bank processing success rates with the supervisor- Propose improvements in the processes in order to maximize the success rates in payment processing

3. Information recorded and retrieved in the Database

– Make sure that all information related to the billing of donors is duly integrated in the database- Monitor and evaluate the (payment) information in the database, reporting inconsistencies and suggesting improvements where needed- Maintain contacts with donors to check personal or financial data in order to ensure correct identification and proper payment processes

Qualifications of Successful Candidate

Education

– Completed secondary education is required. Universiry degreeis an advantage.

Experience

– Five (5) years of working experience in operational data entry or data management, office management, operations management and administration or accounting is required.

Language

– Fluency in Portuguese and English is required. Knowledge of an additional UN Language (Arabic, Chinese, Russian, Spanish) is considered an asset.
