Purpose of the Position

The Database Assistant, under the general supervision and leadership of the Database Assistant (GS6) and Marketing Information Officer (Direct Marketing), will be ready to support a database management system, Fundraising operation (hereinafter «PFP») and marketing campaigns in a cost efficient way.

Key Accountabilities and Duties & Tasks

Within the delegated authority and under the given organizational set-up, the incumbent may be assigned the primarily, shared, or contributory accountabilities for all or part of the following areas of major duties and key end-results. 1) Assure the correct functioning of Donor Perfect Online (DPO) and other systems to manage the data of donors and supporters.

  • Support for Donor Perfect Online and other systems correct functioning on the internal Call Center
  • Support for Donor Perfect Online and other systems correct functioning for the PFP team.
  • 2) Effective and timely database uploading & maintenance to support financial and marketing processes.

  • Generate information, mainly from DPO System and other internal records, to assist in the implementation of the fundraising workplan.
  • Import and export databases from and to database systems.
  • Assist in the definition of different database policies and procedures.
  • Generate monthly data for different payment methods and process the response of each donation.
  • 3) Database security and confidentiality procedures, directives and instructions effectively established, under the supervision of the Database Assistant, and in concordance with the organization guidelines and regulations.

  • Implementation of database uploading & maintenance criteria.
  • Implementation of database security and confidentiality procedures
  • Develop and implement periodical process to assure database integrity.
  • 4) Effective collaboration with PFP team and other ACO’s areas (ICT) for efficient working processes, advisory functions and general database support.

  • Collaboration with other PFP areas and ICT assistant.
  • Encourage and nurture an appropriate, fluent and effective bond with all PFP team and counterparts.
  • Attend to Direct Marketing meetings being able to identify and anticipate internal database requirements.
  • Qualifications of Successful Candidate

    Experience: 3 to 4 years of relevant national professional work experience in systems, database management, fundraising or any other relevant function.

    Language Requirements: Fluency in Spanish, written and spoken English will be desirable.

    Education: Completion of Secondary School, preferably with University level courses in System, Engineering, Marketing analysis or any other related field of discipline relevant to the job is an asset.

    Nationality: National of Argentina.

    Knowledge of the following topics is required:

  • Computer Skills: Fluent in MS SQL (DML and DDL), Advanced MS Excel user (Graphics, Pivot Tables, Advanced Functions, Integration with others Databases sources, VBA, Macros and automation), MS Access.
  • Tools: MS SQL Management Studio, MS Office, MS VBA.
  • Knowledge of the following topics is desirable:

  • Database Knowledge: SSRS, MS SQL Report Builder, SQL Integration Services.
  • Web Literacy: Knowledge of HTML and CSS, MS Visual Studio, STFP/FTP Clients, Javascript, C#, WebHosting Administration (domains, SSL Certificates ,MySQL Databases, Open Source CMS), Server Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Search Engine Marketing (SEM), Google Analytics, Web Services and CMS Avaya is an asset.
