HumanSurge () is seeking qualified specialists in WASH, Shelter, Logistics and Food Security to join our roster for assignments with national and international NGOs working on the hurricane Irma/Maria response.
We require candidates who are available for recruitment and deployment in October and November, as well as for a number of anticipated vacancies in the 4th quarter of 2017/1st quarter of 2018 (subject to NGO securing donor funding).
The exact role of the specialist will vary depending on the NGO and the location.
Required qualifications and professional experience:
- A first-level university degree in specialty field is required.
- A minimum of three years of relevant professional work experience in NGOs is required.
- Experience managing small teams is highly desirable.
- Experience in NGO project management at field level is desirable.
- Donor/contract management experience is desirable.
- Knowledge of humanitarian principles and standards is required.
- Female candidates and national staff with international organizations are particularly encouraged to apply.
- Working knowledge of English is required. Knowledge of languages spoken in any of the geographic areas is highly desirable. Level of fluency required will vary depending on the functions and seniority of the assignment.
